Interesting question! We, the Rognstad family, have the honor of owning the most devoted, fantastic labradoodle ever. We are equally devoted to her! We are also devoted to the puppies that come from Devoted Labradoodles. All of our policies and practices are anchored in this very high standard, devotion. We hope you notice that those practices help foster and mold the most phenomenal labradoodle puppies for you!
We specialize in multi generation labradoodles, which comes from breeding two low/non-shedding, genetically tested, with great temperament dogs that are F1b, F2, or multi-gen labradoodles together, or back breeding to a poodle, to achieve results that continue to be the breed standard, with a hypo-allergenic coat, as well as improve the breed!
Yes, we provide all our puppies with a written health guarantee in the Devoted Labradoodle contracts. Please refer to the 'available puppies' page to learn about some of the topics we cover in our puppy contracts!
You can reserve a puppy by filling out our online application, consulting with us post application submitted, and placing a $500 deposit.
Completing our puppy adoption application shows that you are interested in exploring if your family would be a good fit for one of our labradoodle puppies at this time. It does not obligate you to pay your deposit, nor does it obligate us to approve your application at this time. It is the beginning of the conversation :)
If we accept your application, you would have the option of placing a $500 deposit which would apply to the final price of your Devoted Labradoodle puppy, or holding off. Once you place the deposit, you are secured your spot for a puppy, and will receive litter announcements for a given litter as they’re available. Deposit spots are first come first serve to hold your place for a puppy, and thus are limited in nature due to the litter sizes available at that time. For this reason, the majority of a deposit is non-refundable.
**If an approved applicant who has already paid his deposit chooses to back out, a partial refund is available. The partial refund time frame policy is as follows: $250 refund before 6 weeks til Gotcha Day, $100 refund before 4 weeks til Gotcha Day, $50 refund less than 4 weeks til Gotcha Day.
Devoted Labradoodle pet puppy adoption fees are $2500. Pet puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract.
**Breeding rights are available to approved breeders for an additional cost. Breeding requests must be made at the initial contact and time of purchase.
**Devoted Labradoodles Guardian Home Breeding Program puppies are $750.
Great Question! Pet Puppy Adoption is when your family decides they want a labradoodle puppy that is bred to be intelligent and easily trainable, has a great temperament and is a wonderful pet. Pet puppies are adopted on a no breeding spay/neuter contract. Breeding rights may be available to approved breeders for an additional cost. Breeding requests must be made at the initial contact and time of purchase.
The Devoted Labradoodle Guardian Home Breeding Program is when you want to be the guardian family of one of the best picks of the litter, best coat and best overall genetics, to be your forever pet. The cost of guardianship is low as your pet is technically owned by Devoted Labradoodles until the breeding rights are completed.
This program is ideal in so many ways, as it helps us continue to develop the breed, but with dogs that are raised as loved pets in forever homes, instead of one of many dogs living on a property in kennels.
Yes! At Devoted Labradoodles we made the decision to place the majority of our breeding dogs in guardian homes so that they can receive a forever home family that is able to give the proper attention and love that they most definitely deserve. If your application is approved to participate in guardianship, you will be getting one of the best dogs we have to offer at an incredibly discounted rate, in exchange for your assistance throughout the breeding lifetime of the dog.
Being a guardian home for our breeding program has many perks, as well as responsibilities. We strive for a mutually beneficial relationship between ourselves and our guardian families!
Among the perks are the cost of guardianship and the best genetics as stated above, but there is more! We extend the offer to pet sit at our home when the family goes out of town and needs to have the dog boarded. This helps us, the guardian dog, and our dogs, to be familiar with one another when it comes time to breed or whelp a litter. Also, for each litter produced, you will be compensated (males $250, females $500) as a "thank you" for your patience while your beloved pet is away. When the dog has fulfilled their breeding period with Devoted Labradoodles, we will have them spayed or neutered at our cost, and full ownership will be transferred to you!

Yay! The best way to prepare is gather a couple supplies to be ready for the first day with your pup, so you aren't stressed and scrambling on gotcha day.
Also, make sure you have a training plan by taking time to pick a trainer and/or read and watch youtube videos about potty training puppies, crate training puppies, and teaching puppies basic commands in training them to be well behaved.
Also, choose a veterinarian by researching online and you can even visit nearby veterinarians. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. Ask your friends with pets for their recommendations, and become familiar with the vaccinations, preventatives, and annual care your growing puppy will need in its future.
We will start you off with several supplies that will help on day one, as stated in the above question. But some of the biggest items we recommend you purchase in advance are as follows. Also, you can click this link to go to my Amazon affiliates Devoted Labradoodles Puppy Care List!
Let's learn about our puppy packs! All Devoted Labradoodle puppies adoption costs include a veterinary health exam at about 7 weeks, the vaccination record with the puppies first vaccines already administered, a health guarantee and puppy contract, a puppy development record and instructions on DL puppy care and continued enrichment, a first collar, transition meals, and comfort items smelling of littermates. Not to mention a prepared puppy that has benefited from the effort that we have poured into for the past 8 weeks with our time and labor intensive training and de-sensitizing with our puppy development and advanced care curriculum. Continue the work with the suggestions provided from our curriculum for the coming weeks, and remember you have our long term support, meetups and friendship!
Yes! Let's go over this. Remember, during the first eight weeks of their lives, our puppies are undergoing researched and proven curriculum in order to become the most centered and incredible dogs when they grow up. From the little to the big, all of the processes matter to form a well adjusted pup. Also, all of the puppies are still going to have their own personalities, tendencies, needs, activity levels, etc, that make them the unique pup they are! To complete their preparation for their furever homes, we do multiple testings that come to fruition by the seventh week of their lives. First, we send out their genetic tests during week two of their lives, to get the results back by week 7. Then, during week 7 we officiate the puppy aptitude tests. Between these two tests, and the experience we have had over the past 7 weeks with the puppies, we are able to have a wonderful glimpse into the type of pet home that each puppy would thrive in for their furever homes. We are also able to make the final determinations on which dog(s) may join our guardian home program.
Puppy selection begins after testing in week seven, and goes in order of date of deposit to Devoted Labradoodles (keeping the best interests of the puppies in mind).
Yes! We researched all the top programs that only the most mindful breeders use, and settled on the Badass Breeder Puppy Development and Advanced Care Curriculum. The name comes from the desire to show that the word breeder doesn't have to have a negative or 'bad' connotation, as we are holding ourselves to such high standards and helping dogs thrive from birth in such a mindful way! We can turn 'bad' breeder into 'badass' breeder ;)
ENS is known to improve cardiovascular performance, stronger heartbeats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease. ESI improves nose awareness and confidence.
We will add more about all the intricacies of the curriculum as it is progressing with our puppies!
The first two weeks are about thriving in all that development that is happening! That maternal instinct in the dam is crucial to every aspect of those first two weeks, and will continue for as long as the pups need their mom. She will always be attentive to their needs, feeding them, keeping them warm, and licking their bottoms to stimulate their bowel movements and ingest their waste so as to keep the whelping area clean and free of odors, which in the old days would have attracted predators. Born blind, deaf, and unable to regulate their own temperatures, newborn pups need all the help they can get!
We are also here doing crucial duties, overseeing the health and needs of both the dam and the puppies. These duties are devoted to thriving, prevention and early detection so that thriving can continue. Some examples are as follows:
Our dogs are fed on a raw diet. The BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food Diet) is the most popular raw diet for puppies. The recommended guidelines for a BARF diet for puppies consists of 58% raw muscle meat, 17% raw edible bone, 7% raw or steamed vegetables, 7% liver, 7% other secreting organ, 3% seeds or nuts, and 1% fruit. This process is actually quite easy to "meal plan" and store in your refrigerator for the week. There are ready made brands you can purchase from if you would rather it be "meal prepped" for you! We highly recommend you follow a similar plan for your devoted labradoodle pup. If you want to go a different direction with your pups food during the timeframe included in our health guarantee, please approve your premium puppy food plan through us before changing it.
A diet based on raw animal proteins is meant to mimic the way a dog might eat in the wild, and contains higher protein levels than most standard commercial pet foods (especially dry formulas). Since almost no part of a raw diet is processed, there are no unnecessary filler ingredients present — and therefore, there’s a far lower chance of your dog having an allergic reaction, developing a food intolerance or gaining weight from excess carbohydrates and fat.
Aww thanks! My favorites are from Christina Marie Photography, an amazing local photographer that I just so happen to know and love. She captures everything so beautifully.
